Nassau County FY 26/27 Budget Process Continues
The Nassau County Board of County Commissioners has begun its review of the proposed Fiscal Year 2026/2027 Tentative Budget, which will guide County operations, services, and investments beginning October 1, 2026.
On June 22, 2026, the Board held its first budget workshop to review the proposed budget and discuss financial priorities for the upcoming fiscal year. During the workshop, Commissioners and staff reviewed the tentative budget framework and discussed opportunities to evaluate expenditures, including a 10% reduction scenario, as part of the Board’s ongoing commitment to responsible fiscal stewardship.
The annual budget process provides an opportunity for Commissioners to carefully evaluate community needs, prioritize essential services, and ensure available resources are aligned with the County’s goals and long-term vision.
The Board will continue these discussions during the FY 2026/2027 Tentative Budget Workshop on Monday, July 27, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the County Commission Chambers, located at 96135 Nassau Place, Yulee, FL 32097. During this workshop, the Board will further review the tentative budget, discuss funding priorities, set the tentative millage rate, and authorize the electronic submission of the Truth in Millage (TRIM) forms to the State.

Residents are encouraged to stay engaged throughout the budget process. The public is welcome to attend all budget meetings, and meetings are also available to watch online through the Nassau County Clerk of Court’s website at www.nassauclerk.com/watch-meetings.Â
