New Mission, New Presence & New Chapter for the Nassau County Chamber of Commerce

The Nassau County Chamber of Commerce has adopted a new mission statement that will guide the organization’s work and define its commitment to the local business community for years to come as we: Advocate for local businesses, connect leaders, and strengthen the economic future of Nassau County.

The new mission statement is concise, purposeful and focused on the future, reflecting the Chamber’s renewed commitment to serving the Nassau County business community.

“Our new mission is more than a statement – it is the standard by which we will measure everything we do,” said Alexandra Wilmer, President & CEO. “Every program we develop, partnership we pursue and decision we make will advance these priorities and provide meaningful value to our members and community.”

The mission statement is one of several significant changes made by the Chamber over the past 10 months to strengthen the organization, address longstanding concerns, and better serve Nassau County’s evolving business community.

In a major demonstration of that commitment, the Board recently approved a lease for a new Chamber office on Nassau County’s westside.

The new office will create greater access to Chamber services, resources, programming and relationship-building opportunities for businesses and community leaders in western Nassau County.

“For too long, businesses on the westside have felt disconnected from their Chamber and uncertain about whether their needs were being heard,” said Wilmer. “Opening this office is about more than establishing a physical location. It’s about showing up, listening and proving through our actions that we are committed to serving every part of Nassau County.”

Together, the new mission and westside office signal a new chapter for the Nassau County Chamber – one defined by action, accountability and a renewed commitment to the businesses and communities we serve.

“This is a new day and a new Chamber for Nassau County,” said Dunia Taylor, Board Chairman. “We are proud of the progress we have made, energized by the work ahead and are committed to earning the trust of our members and community every step of the way.”
