Groundbreaking for Nassau County Fire Rescue Station 30 on October 5

YULEE, Fla. (Sept. 29, 2026) – Nassau County is continuing its commitment to public safety with the construction of a new Nassau County Fire Rescue Station 30. A groundbreaking ceremony will be held Monday, Oct. 5, 2026, 11:00 a.m., at 86085 Still Quarters Road in Yulee, the future site of the new station.

Station 30 will replace the existing facility near the corner of Pages Dairy Road and U.S. 17. Over the past two fiscal years, Nassau County has completed construction of three fire stations – a new Station 10 and replacement facilities for Stations 70 and 90 – and is now moving forward with the replacement of Station 30. These projects represent a continued investment in public safety, providing Nassau County Fire Rescue personnel with modern facilities that support their work and strengthen emergency response capabilities as the community continues to grow.

“Investing in public safety means investing in the people who answer the call when our residents need help,” said Nassau County Board of County Commissioners Chair Alyson McCullough. “We are proud to continue improving the facilities our firefighters rely on every day. Station 30 is another important step in making sure our emergency responders have the tools, resources and environment they need to serve our growing community safely and effectively.”

The 10,891 square-foot station will include 11 sleeping quarters, four and a half bathrooms, a full kitchen, living area and four apparatus bays.

The approximately 3.98-acre property was donated to Nassau County by Wildlight, LLC specifically for the construction and operation of a Nassau County Fire Rescue station. Construction was awarded to ACON Construction Co., Inc. following a competitive procurement process.

The groundbreaking ceremony is open to the public. Residents, community leaders and members of the media are invited to join County officials and Nassau County Fire Rescue personnel in celebrating this important milestone.
