U.S. 17 (State Road 5) from Lippizan Court to the Georgia State Line Resurfacing Project Begins Next Week
NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. – Construction is scheduled to begin next week on a project to resurface U.S. 17 (State Road 5) from Lippizan Court to the Georgia state line.
Hubbard Construction Company was selected to complete this $1.5 million project, which includes milling and resurfacing, highway signing, and other incidental construction.
Traffic is being maintained in accordance with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) design standards throughout the project. No lane closures will be allowed from 6 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Monday through Friday.
Completion is expected in late 2026, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
