Nassau County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller Successfully Completes Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers (FCCC) New Clerk Academy

Nassau County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller, Mitch L. Keiter, has successfully completed the Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers (FCCC) New Clerk Academy, earning the designation of Certified Florida Clerk and Comptroller (CFCC).

The New Clerk Academy was established pursuant to the Laws of Florida, directing the development of a certification program for Florida’s Clerks of the Circuit Court and elected County Comptrollers. This program, administered by the Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers (FCCC), provides a 240-hour curriculum of comprehensive instruction on the constitutional, statutory, judicial, financial, administrative, and leadership responsibilities unique to the office of Clerk and Comptroller.

The CFCC designation recognizes Clerk Keiter’s successful completion of an extensive professional education program, helping him fulfill the more than 1,000 statutory duties entrusted to his office. To maintain this certification, Clerks must complete continuing professional education and remain current on evolving laws, court procedures, financial management practices, ethics requirements, and emerging issues affecting Florida Clerks’ offices.

Continuing education ensures that our office remains well-equipped to serve the courts, the Board of County Commissioners, and the citizens of Nassau County with integrity, professionalism, and excellence.”

Earning the CFCC designation reflects Clerk Keiter’s ongoing commitment to upholding public trust through knowledgeable, accountable, and effective leadership.
