Community Hospice & Palliative Care Pet Therapy Volunteer Information Event

Community Hospice & Palliative Care invites pet owners to its Pet Therapy Volunteer Information Event on Thursday, October 15, 2026. Guests and their pets are welcome to stop by Redbones Gourmet Dog Bakery and Boutique, located at 809 S. 8th Street in Fernandina Beach, anytime between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m.

This complimentary event offers a relaxed way to learn how pet therapy volunteers bring comfort to patients and families. Attendees can speak with trainers about whether their pets may be a good fit, learn about the assessment, training, and certification process, and hear from experienced volunteers. Each participant will receive a raffle ticket and a special treat for their pet.
